Second and third day... visiting an island

16th June

Basically, me and Dad slacked at home for most of the morning. I think I've gotten used to the new surrounding, never mind if I can't get any access to any TV channel. At abt 1130 hrs, we went to fetch Kundam (aka the 'Bird Man') and I spent abt an hour staring at the adorable little birds in his house. We headed to some food stall to have lunch, and sent Kundam back after that. Me and Dad headed back home and took a really long rest. At abt 5 pm, we went for a walk in the park behind our house, bought some stuff at the 7-eleven store nearby, and had dinner at Big C. That was about it, a not so happening start.

17th June (today)
Happy Birthday to Amy, Richmond Loo, Joreen

We had to get up early in the morning to head to a certain Roong Rod's house in order to fetch a lady church worker named Eartth (unique name). We took a boat from the pier (what crappy stairs they got!) to Si Chang Island. Man does the island resemble Brazil in some aspects. Once we got there, we took a Tuk Tuk to a certain school, then headed to the house nearby and chatted with a Thai family, all of them Christians of course. It was no coincidence that we would encounter fellow brothers and sisters in Christ there. Since I knew nought a word of Thai, I spent the next 1 or 2 hrs admiring the wonderful scenery and stroking the balck-n-white cat over there; I wasn't too comfortable with the golden dog there though, for I am more of a cat lover. At abt 1230 hrs, the 3 of us headed back to the pier, ate some snacks and took a loooooong boat ride back to the main island. After we dropped Eartth back to the place, we headed to Pattaya to have lunch... at Tesco Lotus. Brief walk around Outlet Plaza and we took a long car ride back to the house. OOOHHHH, and it rained heavily at abt 6 pm!!! :-O While Dad went off for cell meeting at 1900 hrs, I stayed behind to slack. I don't know what's in store tomorrow...

P.S. how I wished that MKP gets his just desserts for his abominable behavior... the more I read his blog entries, the more I wished something bad happens to him really soon (but I don't intend to curse him at all). Does he not know that God dislikes proud and cunning individuals, according to James 4:1-10? :-/

Anyway, here are some pictures me and Dad took just now, during our trip to Ko Si Chang.

James 4:1-10 says,
"Where do the wars and where do the conflicts among you come from? Is it not from your passions that make war within your members? You covet but do not possess. You kill and envy but you cannot obtain; you fight and wage war. You do not possess because you do not ask. You ask but do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions. Adulterers! Do you not know that friendship with the world brings hatred to GOD? Therefore, whoever wants to be a lover of the world makes himself an enemy of GOD. Or do you suppose that the scripture speaks without meaning when it says, "The spirit that he has made to dwell in us tends toward jealousy"? But he bestows a greater grace; therefore, it says: "GOD resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble." So submit yourselves to GOD. Resist the Devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to GOD, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you of two minds. Begin to lament, to mourn, to weep. Let your laughter be turned into mourning and your joy into dejection. Humble yourselves before the LORD and He will exalt you."
